AI agent for travel agents
Loyalty and Points Optimization Agent
Choose the booking option that gives the client the most value from cash, points and status
What it does
A frequent traveler books a flight with the wrong fare class and loses status credits, or pays cash while holding enough points for a better cabin. This agent looks at the money and the points together. It reads the client's loyalty accounts and planned bookings, compares paying cash with using points, checks the rules for status credits, fare classes and upgrade windows, and recommends the best option with the numbers. If prices change, it rechecks and updates the recommendation. It also watches expiring points and promotions. The agent approves before booking. Edge case: points expire in 20 days. The agent suggests using them on the next booking or a transfer to a partner.
How it works
Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

How it decides
It calculates the cents-per-point value of each option and the status credits earned. It prefers the option with the best total value for the client's goals.
- Use points when value is over 1.5 cents per point unless the client prefers cash
- Choose fares that earn status credits if the client is within 20 percent of the next tier
- Points expiring within 60 days are used first
- Recheck prices daily until the ticket deadline
