AI agent for credit analysts
Past-Due Account Handoff Agent
Transfer each past-due loan with a complete, current file the collections team can use at once
What it does
When a loan goes 60 days past due, the collections team receives a thin folder and spends a week reconstructing the story. This agent identifies loans that pass the past-due threshold and compiles the payment history, every contact attempt, the collateral and guarantor information, and the insurance and lien status. It checks the file against a handoff checklist and flags what is missing, such as a lien search or the last borrower call note. It asks the analyst or the relationship manager for those items and rechecks. When the file is complete it drafts a handoff note summarizing the account, risk and next options. It rechecks the file just before transfer. The manager approves the transfer. Edge case: if a bankruptcy filing appears in the data, it stops the handoff and alerts the manager.
How it works
Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.
