Pitch Book Consistency Agent

A pitch book with consistent, sourced figures

Pitch Book Consistency Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

A pitch book with three different revenue figures for the same company makes a bank look careless in front of a client. Before a book is sent, this agent reviews it. It lists every number, company name, date and footnote across pages. It checks that the same figure is the same everywhere and ties numbers to the comps, model and market data as of one stated date. It checks that names and logos match current company names and that every figure has a source footnote. Mismatches go on a mark-up list with the right value. After the team edits, it checks the whole book again. The deal lead approves the final version. Edge case: the market cap on page 3 uses yesterday's price while page 12 uses last week's, which the agent flags.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

How it decides

It requires each repeated figure to be identical and each figure to tie to a source as of the stated date.

  • Same figure differs across pages: mark
  • Price date older than stated date: refresh
  • Missing source footnote: add to list

An example run

What happensA 40-page sell-side book showed three versions of the target's revenue. The agent tied the right figure, $214 million, to the model and found 2 pages using prices from the prior week. The analysts edited. On the second pass, one footnote source was still missing on page 27, so it went back. The third pass was clean and the deal lead approved.
