Sample Chain of Custody Agent

In regulated, forensic or environmental testing, a result is only usable if every handoff of the sample is recorded. This agent follows each sample from receipt to disposal. It reads custody forms, barcode scan logs and storage temperature logs. It looks for missing signatures, unexplained time gaps between handoffs, temperature excursions, broken seals, and IDs that differ between the form and the container. When it finds a gap, it holds testing on that sample and sends the person responsible the exact record to fix. Once the correction comes back, it rechecks the full chain before releasing the sample for testing. You approve every correction to a record and any decision to test a compromised sample. Edge case: a sample received above its temperature limit is flagged before testing starts, so the lab can decide what to do.
