AI agent for blockchain developers

Smart Contract Test and Review Agent

A well-tested contract with known gas cost and reviewed risks before deployment

Smart Contract Test and Review Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

On-chain code cannot be patched easily, so a missed edge case is expensive and permanent. This agent reads a contract and its intended behavior, then writes tests for normal use and for edge cases such as zero amounts, reentrancy and overflow. It runs them on a local chain and reports each failure with the exact input that caused it. It runs standard analysis checks and measures gas against the previous version. Where a test fails or a check warns, it describes the issue so the developer can fix it, then reruns everything. You approve deployment to any public network. Edge case: a function that moves funds with no access control is flagged as a blocker, whether or not a test caught it.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

Read the steps as a list
  1. Contract ready for review
  2. Read the contract and its intended behavior
  3. Write tests for normal and edge cases
  4. Run tests and analysis on a local chain
  5. Do all tests pass with no high-severity warnings? If not: describe each failing case and warning for the developer, then rerun. Back to step 3.
  6. Measure gas and compare with the previous version
  7. Developer approves deployment to a public networkThe agent waits here for your OK.
  8. Test and review report with gas summary

How it decides

It treats fund-handling and access-control gaps as blockers, and marks a contract ready only when tests pass and no high-severity warning remains.

  • Block on missing access control for fund functions
  • Require tests for zero, maximum and repeated calls
  • Flag gas increases above the set limit

Make it yours

Every agent is a starting point. You choose these settings for your own situation.

  • Edge cases to always test
  • Gas increase limit (default 10%)
  • Analysis tools to run
  • Networks allowed for deployment

What keeps you in control

It always asks you first

  • Deploying to a public network

Hard limits

  • Never deploys to a public network on its own
  • Runs only on a local or test chain during review

It stops when

  • Done: tests pass and risks reviewed
  • Stop: contract does not compile

An example run

What happensA staking contract at a startup called Lumen Pools passed all normal tests, but the reentrancy test drained the balance on the local chain, so the check failed. The agent reported the exact call order. The developer added a guard, and the agent reran the suite. All tests passed and gas rose 4%, within the 10% limit. The tech lead approved a testnet deployment.
