AI agent for chief digital officers
Blockchain Use Case Feasibility Screen Agent
A fair, documented screen of a blockchain proposal with a clear recommendation
What it does
Blockchain ideas often arrive without a test of whether a simpler tool would do. This agent takes a proposal and tests it against criteria such as several parties who do not trust each other, a need for a shared record and who controls the data. It compares simpler alternatives such as a shared database. It also looks for regulatory issues, such as data privacy and deletion rules. It asks the sponsor for any missing facts and rechecks the result when they come in. The leader approves a pilot or a no. Edge case: the proposal stores personal data on a public chain, so the agent flags the privacy conflict first.
How it works
Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.
Read the steps as a list
- Proposal is submitted
- Read the proposal and list the parties and data
- Test it against the screening criteria
- Are the facts needed for each criterion in the proposal? If not: ask the sponsor for the missing facts and test again. Back to step 2.
- Compare simpler alternatives against the same need
- Review regulatory and privacy issues
- Does the proposal still win after the comparison and issues check? If not: rewrite the recommendation as use the simpler option or revise the design. Back to step 4.
- Write the recommendation with reasons
- Leader approves a pilot or a noThe agent waits here for your OK.
- Screening decision on file
How it decides
A proposal passes when it needs shared control among several parties, a tamper evident record, and no simpler tool meets the need.
- Require several parties without full trust
- Require a need for a shared tamper evident record
- Prefer a simpler tool when it meets the need
- Flag personal data on a public chain
