AI agent for chief sales officers

Win-Loss Interview Program Agent

A set of win-loss interviews that show why deals are really won or lost.

Win-Loss Interview Program Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

A deal is lost and the CRM says price, but no one asked the buyer. This agent finds recent closed deals, schedules interviews, prepares question lists for each and collects notes. It tags reasons and checks patterns against the CRM loss reasons, flagging contradictions such as price in the CRM but missing integration in the interview. It asks buyers open questions about alternatives they considered and who else was involved, since the real reason is often outside the CRM list. Edge case: the buyer declines to be interviewed, so the agent uses a short written survey instead. The leader approves outreach and the final summary.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

How it decides

It picks deals by size and recency, tags reasons from interview notes, and compares them with CRM reasons.

  • Aim for at least 3 interviews per segment.
  • Interview within 30 days of the decision.
  • Flag any contradiction with CRM reasons.
  • Offer a written survey if the buyer declines a call.

Make it yours

Every agent is a starting point. You choose these settings for your own situation.

  • Selection rules
  • Interview window
  • Question set
  • Segments
  • Reason categories

What keeps you in control

It always asks you first

  • All outreach
  • The final summary

Hard limits

  • Do not contact buyers without approval.
  • Do not record calls without consent.

It stops when

  • Done: coverage is met and the summary is approved
  • Stop: buyers do not respond, so the agent reports a low response rate

An example run

What happensOf 30 closed deals last month, the agent picks 12 and drafts outreach. Seven interviews happen. Tagging shows four lost for missing integrations while the CRM says price. The agent flags the contradiction. The mid-market segment has only 2 interviews, so it picks 2 more. The leader approves the summary.
