Unity AI Bridge MCP server
Let your AI look inside the Unity Editor, change scenes, run tests, and take screenshots for you.

Unity AI Bridge is a small helper that lets your AI assistant work inside the Unity Editor, not just with the files on your disk. It is made for people who build games in Unity and want their AI to actually see and touch the project. If you have ever wished your AI could open a scene, check the console, or press Play for you, this is for that.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat and read files. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app, and here it connects your AI to the Unity Editor. Once it is set up, you can ask your AI to do something in Unity, and the helper passes that request to the Editor and brings the answer back. You do not need to know how it works under the hood.
What this MCP server does
You type a request to your AI, like asking it to find a game object or take a screenshot. The AI sends that request through this helper, which writes it to a small file on your computer. The Unity plugin inside your project reads that file, does the work in the Editor, and writes the answer back. Your AI reads the answer and tells you what happened, all in the same chat.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Open, save, and list scenes in your Unity project
- Find, create, move, and delete game objects
- Read and change components on objects
- Create, open, and save prefabs
- Read and update C# scripts
- Run your Unity tests and read the console logs
- Take screenshots and enter or exit Play Mode
Try asking your AI
- “Open the Main scene and tell me what game objects are in it.”
- “Find every object with a Rigidbody and list them.”
- “Take a screenshot of the current scene view.”
- “Run the tests and show me any failures.”
What it gives back to you
You get answers in your chat, like a list of scenes, a list of game objects, or the text of a script. It can also bring back screenshots as images you can look at. When it changes something, like moving an object or saving a prefab, it tells you what it did. Sometimes it returns numbers, like profiler results or test pass and fail counts.

- An AI coding tool that supports MCP, like Claude Desktop or Cursor
Good to know
It can change, move, or delete things in your Unity project, so keep your work in version control and review what the AI did.
Install it with your AI
Add Unity AI Bridge MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check Unity AI Bridge MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
Unity game developers and technical artists who want their AI assistant to help inside the Editor, not just with files.
