Bazi MCP server

by cantian-ai

Let your AI build accurate Chinese Bazi charts and read the daily Chinese calendar for you.

Flow diagram: you ask your AI “Make a Bazi chart for 15 May 2000 at noon, male”, the Bazi MCP server connects it to Bazi chart maker, and you get back your Bazi chart, explained.

This is a small helper that lets your AI work out Chinese Bazi charts, the traditional four pillars reading based on a person's birth date and time. It is handy if you are curious about Chinese astrology, or if you already read Bazi and want the charting done for you instead of by hand. You just tell your AI the birth details, and it does the rest.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already knows. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to a service. This one connects your AI to a proper Bazi calculator, so instead of guessing the chart, the AI asks this helper and gets real results back. You never touch the helper yourself; your AI uses it quietly behind the scenes when you ask a Bazi question.

What this MCP server does

You tell your AI a birth date and time, in either the regular calendar or the Chinese lunar calendar. The AI passes that to this helper, which works out the full Bazi chart: the four pillars, the animal sign, the elements, and more. If you give it a Bazi instead, it can work backwards and list possible birth dates. It can also pull up the Chinese calendar for any day, including what is considered lucky or unlucky. Then your AI explains the results to you in plain words.

What you can do with it

  • Build a full Bazi chart from a birth date and time
  • Read the four pillars, animal sign, and day master
  • List the ten-year luck cycles (大运) across a lifetime
  • Show relationships between pillars, like clashes and combinations
  • Work backwards from a Bazi to possible birth dates
  • Look up the Chinese calendar for any day, including lucky and unlucky activities

Try asking your AI

  • “Make a Bazi chart for someone born 15 May 2000 at noon in China, male.”
  • “What are the ten-year luck cycles for this chart?”
  • “What does the Chinese calendar say about today?”
  • “Which birth dates could produce the Bazi 戊寅 己未 己卯 辛未?”

What it gives back to you

You get the chart back as a clear, structured answer: the four pillars with their elements and meanings, the animal sign, the day master, the luck cycles, and any clashes or combinations. For the calendar, you get the lunar date, the day's energies, and a list of activities considered suitable or not. Your AI then turns all of that into a normal, readable explanation in the chat.
