LabelGrid MCP server
by labelgrid · official
Let your AI manage your LabelGrid music releases, catalog, analytics and royalties for you.

This is the official helper from LabelGrid, a music distribution service. Once it is connected, your AI assistant can look at your releases, your catalog and your royalty numbers, and can help you put new releases together. It is handy if you put music out through LabelGrid and want to stop clicking around dashboards for simple questions.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat. It cannot see your LabelGrid account. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill, in this case a connection to LabelGrid. You ask your AI something about your music, the AI passes the request to this helper, and the helper talks to LabelGrid for you.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI a question about your LabelGrid account, like which releases are live or how a track is doing. The AI sends that request to this helper. The helper signs in to LabelGrid with your token and fetches or changes what you asked for. Then the AI turns the answer into plain words in your chat. If you ask it to do something, like start a new release draft, the helper carries that out in your LabelGrid account.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Search your catalog for releases, tracks and artists
- List your releases and check their status
- Start a new release draft and add tracks to it
- Upload audio and artwork files to a release
- Validate a release before you send it for distribution
- Look up streaming and sales analytics
- Check your royalty numbers
Try asking your AI
- “Show me all my releases that are still in draft”
- “How many streams did my last single get this month?”
- “Start a new single called Midnight Drive and add the audio file I just uploaded”
- “What are my royalties for the last quarter?”
What it gives back to you
You get answers in plain words in your chat: lists of releases, status updates, numbers from your analytics and royalty reports, and confirmations when the AI has made a change for you. If you ask for a specific release, it can show the tracks, the artwork status and whether anything is still missing. It does not hand you files to download; it reads and reports what is in your LabelGrid account.
Before you start
What you need
- A LabelGrid account
- A LabelGrid API token (a kind of password for apps; you create one in your LabelGrid account settings)
- An MCP client like Claude Desktop or Cursor
Good to know
It can change things in your LabelGrid account, like creating or editing releases, so review what your AI is about to do before you say yes.
Install it with your AI
Add LabelGrid MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check LabelGrid MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
Musicians, labels and managers who distribute music through LabelGrid and want to check or update their catalog without leaving their AI chat.
