Flow diagram: you ask your AI “What does the card Zilliax do?”, on your own computer the Hearthstone Oracle MCP server works with hearthstone cards, and you get back A plain answer in your chat.

This is a small helper that connects your AI assistant to a full Hearthstone card database and some built-in strategy knowledge. You can ask about cards, paste a deck code, or get advice on how a deck plays. It is handy if you play Hearthstone and want quick answers without opening a wiki or deck site.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already learned. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to Hearthstone card data and strategy notes, so it can look up cards and analyze decks for you. You just ask in plain words, and the helper does the looking up behind the scenes.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI something about Hearthstone, like a card name or a deck code. The AI passes your question to this helper program running on your computer. The helper checks its local copy of every Hearthstone card and its built-in strategy notes, then sends the answer back. Your AI turns that into a normal reply in the chat, such as a card list, a mana curve, or advice on how a deck wins games. The card data is downloaded once and kept up to date automatically.

What you can do with it

  • Search for cards by name, text, class, cost, type, rarity, set, or keyword
  • Look up full details for a specific card
  • Decode a Hearthstone deck code into a full card list with a mana curve
  • Analyze a deck's archetype, gameplan, strengths, and matchup profile
  • Learn about deck archetypes like aggro, control, combo, midrange, tempo, and value
  • Read up on each class's strategic identity
  • Get explanations of core Hearthstone concepts and keywords

Try asking your AI

  • “What does the card Zilliax do?”
  • “Decode this deck code and show me the mana curve: AAEBAZ8F...”
  • “Analyze this deck and tell me what archetype it is”
  • “Explain the difference between aggro and control decks”

What it gives back to you

You get answers in the chat, in normal sentences and lists. For a card search you get matching cards with their details. For a deck code you get the full card list, a mana curve, and notes on the deck's archetype and gameplan. For strategy questions you get plain explanations of archetypes, classes, matchups, and game concepts.
