Teamfight Tactics MCP server
by gregario
Lets your AI look up accurate TFT champion, trait, item and augment info instead of guessing.

This is a small helper for Teamfight Tactics players who use an AI assistant like Claude. It gives your AI real game data for champions, traits, items, augments and shop odds, so it stops making things up. Handy if you are planning a comp or checking a recipe and want a straight answer.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat from what it already learned, and game data changes every patch, so it often gets TFT details wrong. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to a service. This one connects your AI to Teamfight Tactics data from CommunityDragon, so when you ask about a champion or an item, the AI can look it up instead of guessing.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something about TFT, like which champions share a trait or what two components make a certain item. The AI passes your question to this helper. The helper checks its local copy of the game data, which it downloads from CommunityDragon and refreshes when a new patch comes out. Then it sends the answer back, and your AI explains it to you in the chat.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Look up any champion's stats, cost, traits and ability
- Find which champions belong to a trait and see its breakpoints
- Check item recipes and what each component builds into
- Search augments by name or effect
- See shop odds for champions at each player level
- Search champions by name, cost, trait or role
Try asking your AI
- “What does the Multistriker trait do and which champions have it?”
- “What two components make a Guinsoo's Rageblade?”
- “Show me all 4-cost champions in the current set”
- “What are my shop odds for a 5-cost at level 9?”
What it gives back to you
You get answers in plain chat text: lists of champions, trait details with breakpoints, item recipes, augment descriptions, or a small table of shop odds by level. It does not change anything in your game or account. It just reads the data and reports it back.
Before you start
What you need
- The Claude desktop app or another AI tool that supports MCP servers
- Node.js installed on your computer (the free program that runs npx commands)
Good to know
It only reads game data and does not touch your account, but it is not made or endorsed by Riot Games, so treat it as a fan-made reference.
