Warhammer Oracle is a helper for your AI assistant that knows Warhammer 40,000, Combat Patrol and Kill Team. It holds unit datasheets, keywords, stratagems, detachments, enhancements, ploys and turn sequences. It is handy if you play these games and want quick answers without flipping through books or apps mid-game.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to something useful. This one connects your AI to a Warhammer rules reference, so when you ask about a unit or a rule, the AI can look it up and answer with the real details instead of guessing.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI a question in normal words, like what a unit's stats are or what a rule does. The AI sends that question to this helper program running on your computer. The helper looks through its built-in Warhammer data and finds the matching unit, keyword, stratagem or phase. It sends the details back, and your AI explains them to you in the chat. You can also ask it to compare units or work out expected damage.

What you can do with it

  • Look up a unit datasheet by name, including stats, weapons, abilities and keywords
  • Explain a keyword or rule in plain English with examples
  • Walk through a game phase step by step
  • Search units by faction, keyword, ability or points limit
  • Compare two to four units side by side
  • Look up stratagems, detachments and enhancements
  • Calculate expected damage for an attack against a target

Try asking your AI

  • “Look up the Intercessor Squad datasheet”
  • “What does Devastating Wounds do?”
  • “Compare Intercessors vs Tactical Marines”
  • “Calculate damage: 10 attacks, BS3+, S5 AP-1 D2 vs T4 Sv3+”

What it gives back to you

You get answers in the chat: stat lines, weapon profiles, keyword definitions, phase steps, stratagem costs, or a short list of matching units. Comparisons come back as full datasheets for each unit in one reply. The wound calculator gives you a number for expected damage. Nothing is changed anywhere; it only reads and reports.
