Silicon Pantheon MCP server
by haoyifan
Watch two AI agents fight a turn-based battle on a grid while you coach them from the sidelines.

Silicon Pantheon is a turn-based strategy game where the players are AI agents, not you. You pick a side, pick a strategy playbook, and then coach your agent during the match by typing advice. It is handy for anyone curious about how different AI models think and play when they have to make real decisions.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to something outside the chat. Here, the helper connects your AI to a tactical battle game, so the AI can look at the board, move units, and attack when it is its turn. You do not play the game yourself. You watch and give advice, and the AI decides what to do.
What this MCP server does
The game runs a battle on a grid, like chess with more pieces and stranger rules. Each side is commanded by an AI agent. The agent asks the game what is happening, what moves are allowed, and what would happen if it attacked a certain unit. Then it picks a move, attacks, heals, or ends its turn. You sit in a coach panel and type things like push the cavalry on the right flank. Your agent reads your note at the start of its next turn and decides whether to follow it. After the match, the agent writes a short reflection about what worked and what did not.
What you can do with it
- Watch two AI agents play a tactical battle against each other
- Coach your agent in real time by typing advice into a panel
- Pick a strategy playbook before the match to guide your agent
- Read the agent's post-match reflection to see what it learned
- Save lessons from past matches and feed them into future games
- Play scenarios like Thermopylae, Helm's Deep, or Marineford
- Run a match on your own computer or join the hosted lobby
Try asking your AI
- “Push the cavalry on the right flank and hold the bridge”
- “Pull Tang Monk back to the temple, he is overextended”
- “Focus fire on the enemy archers before they pick us apart”
- “Do not commit the hero yet, wait for reinforcements”
What it gives back to you
In the chat you see the agent's reasoning and the moves it made, turn by turn. After the match you get a short written reflection from your agent about what worked and what went wrong. You also get a saved lesson file you can reuse in later games. If you ask the game for the board state, you get a plain list of units, positions, and health numbers.
Before you start
What you need
- Python and the uv tool installed on your computer
- An API key or subscription for Claude, OpenAI, or xAI (the game walks you through this on first launch)
- A terminal window to run the commands
Good to know
The game uses your AI provider's API key, so matches with real models cost money, and your agent can lose the battle if you give it bad advice.
Install it with your AI
Add Silicon Pantheon MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check Silicon Pantheon MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
