Bazi Reader MCP server
by shunshi-ai
Ask your AI to build a Chinese Four Pillars birth chart or today's almanac, in your language.

This is a small helper that lets your AI work out Chinese Bazi charts, also called Four Pillars of Destiny, from a birth date, time and place. It also reads the Chinese almanac for any day. It is handy if you are curious about Bazi, or if you read charts for friends and want the maths done for you.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill, in this case the skill of calculating Bazi charts and almanac days. Once it is connected, your AI can pass a birth date and city to this helper, and the helper does the calendar maths and hands back the result. You just ask in normal words and the AI does the rest.
What this MCP server does
You tell your AI something like a birth date, a time and a city. Your AI sends those details to this helper program running on your own computer. The helper works out the Four Pillars, adjusts the clock time to true solar time for that place, and figures out the extra parts like the luck cycles and the relationships between pillars. Then your AI reads the result back to you in the chat. For the almanac tool, you just ask about a day and it returns what is traditionally listed as suitable or not suitable for that date.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Build a full Bazi chart from a birth date, time and city
- Adjust the birth time to true solar time for the place of birth
- Show the luck cycles (大运) and the relationships between pillars
- Read the Chinese almanac for any day, including today
- Give the answer in Chinese, English, Japanese or Korean
- Accept either a Western calendar date or a lunar calendar date
Try asking your AI
- “Build a Bazi chart for a man born 24 March 1990 at 10:28 in the morning in Guangzhou”
- “What does today's Chinese almanac say is suitable and not suitable?”
- “Show me the luck cycles for someone born on 5 July 1985 at 3pm in Harbin”
- “What is the almanac for 1 January 2026, and please answer in Japanese”
What it gives back to you
You get the chart back as text in the chat: the four pillars, the ten gods, the luck cycles and the relationships between the pillars, plus a note on how many minutes the true solar time correction was. For the almanac you get a list of what is traditionally marked as suitable and not suitable, along with the other almanac entries for that day. Everything arrives as a readable answer, not as a file you have to open.
