Accenture and Anthropic Launch AI-Powered Cybersecurity Platform

Accenture has released Cyber.AI, a new security operations platform built on Claude, Anthropic's AI model. The solution automates threat detection and response across the security lifecycle, allowing organizations to move beyond human-speed defenses to continuous, machine-driven protection.

The platform combines Accenture's proprietary security agents with Claude's reasoning capabilities. Accenture's 30,000+ cybersecurity professionals will support client deployments alongside the automated systems.

What Cyber.AI Does

Claude serves as the core reasoning engine, synthesizing security data and providing contextual insights across the security lifecycle. The platform includes AI Agents & Automation that handle specific tasks-identity management, threat detection, vulnerability remediation-without manual intervention.

Agent Shield, a built-in component, monitors and governs autonomous AI agents in real-time. It enforces organizational policies and risk tolerance on deployed agents themselves.

The system integrates with existing security tools and infrastructure. Accenture says it accelerates activities from design and deployment through detection and response.

The Problem It Addresses

Adversaries now compress attack timelines from weeks to hours using AI. Traditional security controls built for human-speed threats cannot keep pace.

Nearly nine in 10 organizations identify AI-related vulnerabilities as their fastest-growing cyber risk, according to the World Economic Forum's Global Cyber Outlook Report 2026, produced with Accenture.

Proven Results

Accenture deployed Cyber.AI across its own IT infrastructure to secure 1,600 applications and over 500,000 APIs. Security scan turnaround times fell from three to five days to under one hour.

Testing coverage expanded from roughly 10% to over 80%. The company reduced its backlog of critical vulnerabilities significantly and improved service delivery by 35%.

A Fortune 500 agriculture company used Cyber.AI to accelerate identity platform migrations and strengthen identity and access management operations at scale.

Why Operations Teams Should Care

For operations leaders, this addresses a structural problem: security teams cannot manually process the volume and velocity of modern threats. Cyber.AI handles triage, assessment, and remediation workflows automatically.

The platform reduces manual effort while expanding coverage. It also removes the backlog that slows down other operational priorities.

Organizations maintain control through governance guardrails. Agents operate within defined boundaries, not autonomously without oversight.
