Adobe adds custom model training and new interface to Firefly
Adobe has launched Custom Models in beta for Firefly, its generative AI platform, letting creators train models on their own artistic styles. The move positions Firefly as a single environment where creators can generate, edit, and refine work without switching tools.
Custom Models let you upload your own images to teach the AI a specific style, character, or photographic look. Adobe says this is now available in public beta within Firefly.
The platform now includes access to over 30 models, including Google's Nano Banana 2, Veo 3.1, and Runway's Gen-4.5 alongside Adobe's own Image Model 5. Users can generate with one model, refine output with another, compare results, and continue editing using Adobe's professional tools-all without leaving Firefly.
New video and editing tools
Adobe added Quick Cut for video editing and expanded image editing controls to Firefly. The platform offers unlimited video and image generations for its users.
Project Moonlight expands to private beta
Adobe is also expanding private beta access for Project Moonlight, a conversational interface that works across Adobe's applications. The tool converts natural language instructions into creative output, moving work from concept to completion through conversation rather than traditional menu navigation.
Project Moonlight was first previewed at Adobe MAX earlier this year and is designed to streamline the creative process by reducing friction between idea and execution.
