Adobe Adds Model Controls to Creative Cloud for Enterprise Teams
Adobe has introduced granular access controls in Creative Cloud that let organizations decide which employees can use specific generative AI models. The controls address a core tension for enterprises: how to give creative teams access to AI without losing oversight.
The new system works through Adobe Admin Console. IT leaders can set role-based permissions by user or group and manage access to individual AI models - all in one place, with no separate tools or vendor accounts to manage.
What changes for creative teams
Creatives gain direct access to partner models including Google Veo, Flux, and GPT Image without leaving Creative Cloud. These models integrate into existing workflows rather than requiring separate software.
The integration covers both ideation and production. For early-stage work, teams can use Firefly Boards to explore concepts collaboratively. For execution, AI features sit inside Photoshop, Illustrator, and other tools creatives already use daily.
Concrete examples in production
ProSiebenSat.1 PULS 4, an Austrian media company, used Google Veo 3 and Flux Kontext in Firefly Boards to visualize concepts for the show "Farmer Wants a Wife." The team achieved 40% faster prototyping for concept development.
Other workflows in use include:
- Using GPT Image to create photoshoot mockups before production, reducing costly reshoots
- Generating B-roll with Google Veo for ads and social content
- Rapid product prototyping with Flux Ultra to test new designs before manufacturing
- Building characters and mascots with Google Nano Banana, compressing weeks of iteration into minutes
- Creating vector graphics from text prompts in Illustrator using GPT Image
Data and governance
Adobe and its partner models do not train on customer content. Organizations retain control over which models their teams can access, and all configuration happens through a single admin interface.
For IT leaders managing compliance and security, the system eliminates complexity. New models can be approved or restricted as they arrive without disrupting existing workflows.
