Adobe kicked off Max with a clear message: AI is moving from "demo" to "daily use." New tools across Creative Cloud and Firefly speed up edits, generate audio, and add assistant features that respond to simple prompts. Adobe also says AI assistants are headed to all its design apps over time.

Firefly's new Generate Soundtrack (public beta) analyzes your uploaded video and produces instrumental tracks that snap to the cut. Pick from presets like lofi, hip-hop, classical, or EDM, or describe the vibe in plain language-moody, uplifting, aggressive. The tool can even suggest a starting prompt based on your footage.
Generate Speech adds quick voiceovers without a separate VO session. Combined with a new web-based video tool that blends multiple AI features into a simple timeline, this aims to get rough cuts sounding finished in minutes.
Photoshop and Premiere: deeper control, fewer manual steps
Photoshop's Generative Fill now lets you switch between Google's Gemini 2.5 Flash, Black Forest Labs' Flux.1 Kontext, and Adobe Firefly. Same prompt, different engines, more options. Insert, replace, or refine objects with tighter control and more varied results.
Premiere Pro picks up new helpers for repetitive edits and cleanup. Think of it as clearing the grunt work so you can focus on pacing, story, and style. Lightroom also benefits from the broader AI push, though the headline changes are centered on Photoshop and Premiere.
Express gets a conversational editor
The AI Assistant in Adobe Express (public beta) turns the app into a chat-first workspace. Ask for a "fall-themed wedding invitation" or a "retro-inspired poster," then refine with follow-up prompts.
The interface surfaces curated presets to speed up exploration. You don't need the exact design term-describe the intent and let the assistant handle the knobs.
Edit YouTube Shorts, faster
Create for YouTube Shorts is launching soon inside the new Premiere mobile app and will also be built directly into YouTube. Expect effects, transitions, templates, and other tools tuned for vertical, short-form edits.
Project Moonlight: AI social media "creative director"
Project Moonlight is an AI agent on Firefly that connects to your Adobe apps and your social channels. Describe the campaign and the voice you're going for; Moonlight drafts images, short videos, and posts that match your style, then routes them through Adobe's AI editing tools for polish.
