Afori launches with €4M to clean up brokers' inboxes and back-office work

Afori, a new AI platform built for insurance brokers, came out of stealth with €4 million in pre-seed funding. The round was led by General Catalyst with backing from Yellow, Booom, and industry names including Mustafa Suleyman (Microsoft AI), Alex Rinke (Celonis), and Mehdi Ghissassi (formerly Google DeepMind).

The pitch is simple: brokers don't need another platform. They need the work to organize itself. Afori plugs into Outlook, reads the flood of email, PDFs, BiPro messages, WhatsApp notes, and even paper scans-then turns it into structured cases, tasks, and next steps.

The problem brokers face every day

Administrative overload eats more than half of a broker's workweek, according to Beinsure's analysts. Sorting threads, retyping data, switching systems, and losing track of cases doesn't just waste time-it increases risk and drags down client service.
