AI and Human Creativity Unite in Prove It: California Highway Patrol’s Cinematic Motorcycle Safety Campaign

Prove It: AI-Powered Film for the California Highway Patrol

Storytailors AI Studio has launched Prove It, a groundbreaking film produced entirely without cameras, combining human creativity with AI tools and next-generation virtual production workflows. Commissioned by the California Highway Patrol (CHP), this film honors Motorcycle Safety Month and will be distributed across California.

This project is a strong example of how generative AI can work alongside human direction to craft cinematic narratives that resonate. Prove It encourages motorcyclists to demonstrate their skill by prioritizing safety rather than taking unnecessary risks.

A New Chapter in Creative Production

The film blends storytelling with innovative technology, marking a rare collaboration between cinematic craftsmanship and AI. Alongside the film’s release, Storytailors has appointed Aleksander Bach, the director known for Hitman: Agent 47, as Executive and Head of Creative. Bach will lead the studio’s AI-driven creative film initiatives, signaling a clear focus on integrating AI into future productions.

First Statewide Government Campaign Using Generative AI

The campaign was developed by the agency Riester, led by Peter Buck (CCO), Paul Svancara (ACD, Art), Mike Rushing (CD, Copy), Samara Byrne (Sr. Producer), Hayley Winter (Account Director), and Claire Sheriff (Account Supervisor). Storytailors AI Studio produced the film, with AI OR DIE handling directing, prompting, and editing through generative AI tools.

Music was composed by Sebastian Pille and audio engineered by AE Media. The CHP’s use of generative AI for a statewide public safety campaign is among the first of its kind for a U.S. law enforcement agency.

Prove It will be showcased on broadcast, digital, and social media platforms throughout California, setting a new example for how public sector campaigns can integrate AI-driven creativity.

Key Highlights

  • Public Sector Meets AI: One of the earliest generative AI-powered films released by a government agency at a statewide level.
  • Creative Focused on Safety: Aligns with Motorcycle Safety Month and CHP’s mission to reduce motorcyclist fatalities.
  • Leadership with Vision: Aleksander Bach’s role emphasizes Storytailors’ commitment to advancing cinematic AI storytelling.
