AIIMS Raipur and IIT Indore launch joint AI lab for healthcare diagnostics
AIIMS Raipur opened an AI Lab and Deployment Centre on Saturday to develop diagnostic tools and predictive analytics for hospital operations. The facility operates through SRIJAN, AIIMS Raipur's bio-innovation wing, in partnership with IIT Indore's DRISHTI CPS Foundation.
The center will focus on building AI-driven applications for three areas: diagnostics, healthcare management, and predictive analytics. Faculty from both institutions presented joint projects during an AI in Healthcare Conclave held at the facility.
Prof Suhas S Joshi, director of IIT Indore, reviewed the projects and committed technical support from the institute. In his keynote address, Joshi said partnerships between medical and technical institutions can improve healthcare accessibility by combining clinical expertise with engineering capabilities.
What the partnership covers
- Development of AI tools for medical diagnostics
- Applications for hospital and healthcare management systems
- Predictive analytics for patient outcomes
For healthcare professionals looking to understand AI applications in clinical settings, AI for Healthcare resources cover practical implementation across medical specialties. Those involved in developing these tools may find AI Research Courses relevant to the research collaboration model demonstrated here.
