Anthropic returns as Official Education Partner of the Fringe 2025, offering workshops to help artists integrate AI tools like Claude into their creative process.

Anthropic Extends Role as Official Education Partner of the Fringe for 2025
Anthropic, a leading AI research and development company, is set to continue its partnership with the Fringe as the Official Education Partner for 2025. Following a successful series of workshops last year, Anthropic is returning to support artists, media professionals, and academics in integrating AI tools into their creative work.
Last year’s workshops introduced the Fringe community to Claude, Anthropic’s AI assistant, showcasing how it can assist with brainstorming, planning, and storyboarding. This collaboration also gathered valuable feedback on AI’s role in creative processes.
Workshops for Fringe Artists: Exploring AI with Claude
Anthropic will offer a range of online workshops for registered Fringe artists to help them explore AI’s potential in their 2025 preparations. These sessions will focus on practical applications such as idea generation, marketing, and project planning.
Delivered through the Fringe Connect platform, the workshops will feature Anthropic’s education and creative teams ready to answer questions and guide artists in using Claude effectively. Each workshop series will conclude with a virtual Q&A to foster open discussions about the opportunities and challenges AI brings to creative work.

Voices from the Partnership
Tony Lankester, Chief Executive of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society, highlighted the importance of ongoing conversations about AI in the creative sector. He noted the Fringe as a fitting platform for these discussions, praising Anthropic’s commitment to engaging collaboratively with artists and exploring AI's supportive role in creativity.
Everett Katigbak, brand creative director at Anthropic, shared his enthusiasm from last year’s workshops. As a musician and documentary filmmaker, he values meeting creatives curious about technology. He emphasized that Claude is built to remove technical barriers and expand creative possibilities, while respecting data privacy and placing artists at the center of the process.
Anthropic’s continued involvement in 2025 offers artists practical tools and a supportive space to experiment with AI as they develop their work for the Fringe.
