Applied Systems Launches New Applied Insurance AI Capabilities at Applied Net 2025
Applied Systems announced the next wave of Applied Insurance AI at Applied Net 2025. The suite connects sales, marketing, policy management, submissions, servicing, and accounting into a single, intelligent workflow across the Digital Roundtrip of Insurance.
Built on 40+ years of insurance expertise, Applied Epic, EZLynx, and the Ivans connectivity network, these updates focus on real work: less manual entry, clearer insights, and faster handoffs across teams. Applied also previewed new Cytora-powered data extraction that can read carrier documents and autofill fields directly in the agency management system.
Why this matters for agencies
- Reduce time spent on low-value tasks and rekeying
- Increase placement speed with cleaner submissions and fewer back-and-forths
- Improve renewal conversations with clear, comparable insights
- Strengthen audit trails and financial accuracy inside the system you already use
What's new in Applied Insurance AI
- Applied Book Builder: AI-driven risk intelligence inside Epic that enriches account data from thousands of public sources. Surfaces coverage gaps at renewal, flags additional risks, retrieves business details from a name and address, and produces concise coverage suggestions to support client conversations.
- Applied Recon: Automated commission reconciliation in Epic for P&C and Benefits. Ingests PDFs, CSVs, XLS, and AL3 statements, standardizes data, matches direct bill statements to Epic policies and plans, learns from corrections, posts to the General Ledger, and stores every statement with clear tags for audit and reporting.
- Personal Lines Renewal Insights (PLRI): Streamlined renewal reviews. Compares term-over-term premiums, highlights changes, auto-generates Activity Notes and client-ready PDFs, and benchmarks pricing against similar policies for transparent, informed discussions.
- Epic Bridge: Outlook add-in that connects email and Epic. File emails and attachments to the right account from the inbox, pull in Epic templates and contacts, and use AI summaries to create concise Activity Notes so every thread is documented.
- Epic Max: Built-in AI across Epic to speed up daily work. Advanced search, natural language Q&A, and information recaps help teams find answers faster, reduce training time, and improve responsiveness.
- Epic AutoFill (Cytora-powered): Automated data capture with human-in-the-loop review. Reads carrier documents and pre-fills Epic fields. Initial use cases: Benefits (SBC documents) and commercial submissions (Declarations Pages, schedules). Cuts manual entry, reduces errors, and improves downstream data consistency.
- Epic Submissions Manager (Cytora-powered): A centralized workspace for active submissions in Epic. Automatically tracks submission emails and attachments, extracts key details, and generates a submission, reducing manual effort so teams can focus on winning and retaining business.
How it adds up
- Prospecting and growth: Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities from enriched account data
- Renewals: Clear comparisons and benchmarks to set expectations with clients
- Accounting: Single-source reconciliation and posting to GL with stronger audit trails
- Service: Faster response times with AI summaries and search across client history
- Data quality: Consistent, accurate fields that drive downstream workflows
