APRA Selects Klear.ai to Streamline Claims Operations
The Alaska Public Risk Alliance (APRA) is upgrading its claims management by partnering with Klear.ai. This move comes as APRA prepares to consolidate its public risk pools, previously managed separately by AMLJIA and APEI.
Currently, APRA relies on two outdated claims systems—Claim Pilot and PCIS—that operate independently with distinct processes and data formats. This separation creates inefficiencies and complicates data management.
Transition to a Unified Cloud-Based Platform
To address these issues, APRA will implement Klear.ai Intelligence, a cloud-based platform that replaces legacy systems with a unified, modern solution. The platform simplifies claims management by integrating intelligent automation, real-time analytics, and seamless data integration.
Klear.ai Intelligence supports multiple insurance lines including workers’ compensation, property, auto, and general liability. Its intuitive interface consolidates data into actionable insights and scales with the evolving needs of public risk pools.
Klear.ai’s Expertise and Capabilities
Pete Govek, Klear.ai’s chief revenue officer, highlighted the company’s experience with complex implementations involving multi-employer environments, data migrations, and customizable workflows. He emphasized that this partnership aims to improve APRA’s operational efficiency, transparency, and reduce administrative overhead.
Leadership and Implementation
APRA’s interim executive director, Lynn McNamara, is overseeing system evaluation and transition planning. Deputy director Brennan Hickok manages the implementation process to ensure a smooth migration.
