ASUS used its IFA 2026 presence in Berlin to show how local AI processing on creator hardware can handle entire creative workflows - from ideation to asset management - without relying on cloud services. The demonstrations, held at the company's media showroom, mark a shift toward what ASUS calls "Agentic AI," where intelligent systems understand intent and collaborate across tasks rather than waiting for user commands.
New ProArt hardware built for local AI
The centerpiece of the showcase was a refreshed ProArt lineup powered by NVIDIA's RTX Spark platform. ASUS framed the hardware as a direct response to what Sascha Krohn, ASUS Director of Technical Marketing, identified as three factors driving personal AI computing: predictable AI capacity, privacy and contextual awareness, and customization needs. Running models locally keeps sensitive creative assets and data on-device while allowing professionals to tailor AI behavior to specific workflows.
Three products were highlighted. The ProArt P16 pairs AI performance with mobility, aimed at creators who move between inspiration and production. The ProArt P14 emphasizes portability with local AI capabilities for flexible work. The ProArt GR1X is a compact desktop unit designed for workstation-class AI workloads, including complex 3D scenes and agent-based AI applications.
AI agents and connected workflows
Rather than presenting AI as isolated features, ASUS structured its showroom around seven interactive zones that demonstrated connected workflows. The demos ran entirely on ProArt PCs, with an emphasis on privacy and control.
Several tools were on display. ASUS Zenni Claw is an AI agent platform that lets users set up agent-based AI with ready-made skills, local-cloud routing, and safety protections. StoryCube serves as an AI media hub for organizing and searching digital assets. MuseTree offers token-free local image generation for ideation, and ProArt Creator Hub centralizes device settings, color management, and workflow controls. ASUS also highlighted bundled creative and AI services from Google and Adobe on select laptops, giving users flexibility across local and cloud-powered tasks.
The shift from tools to agents
During his keynote, Krohn described the transition from passive software to active agents. "Traditional software relies on users initiating every action, but Agentic AI introduces a new model in which intelligent systems can understand intent, reason through tasks, and collaborate across workflows," he said. These agents can plan, retrieve information, use tools, refine outputs, and work in parallel. The trade-off is higher demand for memory, context windows, and local processing power - the very requirements ASUS is targeting with the RTX Spark-powered ProArt devices.
