Clipbook Raises $3.3M To Scale Vertical AI For PR and Public Affairs

Clipbook has secured a $3.3 million seed round to accelerate its vertical AI platform built for strategic communications and public affairs. The round was co-led by Mark Cuban, Commonweal Ventures, and Carpenter Capital, with participation from leaders across government, consulting, media, technology, and financial services.

Launched in 2023, the company bootstrapped to seven-figure ARR and now serves more than two hundred clients worldwide. Customers include Weber Shandwick and Boston Consulting Group.

Clipbook aggregates news, social, policy, and multimodal content from over one million sources, then synthesizes it into predictive, context-rich insights for communications teams. The company positions its unified infrastructure as a central intelligence layer for professional services organizations to keep up with rising information velocity.

Why this matters for PR and communications teams

  • Faster signal detection: Move from reactive monitoring to actionable insight as issues emerge.
  • Issue and policy tracking: Connect media cycles with regulatory movements to brief executives with confidence.
  • Single source of truth: Reduce tool sprawl with a unified system for monitoring, synthesis, and reporting.
  • Executive-ready briefs: Turn high-noise inputs into clear, decision-focused summaries.
  • Planning and measurement: Tie inputs to outcomes to guide resourcing, messaging, and stakeholder strategy.

Who backed the round

The seed round was co-led by Mark Cuban, Commonweal Ventures, and Carpenter Capital. Additional backers include senior operators and advisors from government, consulting, media, technology, and financial services.

It's a breakthrough platform, and I'm delighted to support its continued growth."

What's next for Clipbook

The company plans to invest in product, engineering, and go-to-market to deepen its platform for enterprise communications teams. Expect stronger data coverage, smarter synthesis, and tighter workflows that fit existing PR and public affairs operations.

How PR teams can act now

  • Audit your monitoring stack and identify where synthesis and prediction would replace manual effort.
  • Define a core signal set for your brand, executives, and policy areas to train consistent briefs.
  • Pilot with one workstream (issues management, executive communications, or public affairs) before scaling.
  • Establish review protocols so AI-generated insights are verified before stakeholder distribution.
  • Upskill your team on AI for comms workflows to shorten the learning curve and lock in process gains. Explore options here: AI courses by job.
