Biglink AI Brings Personalized Chatbots to Insurance Sales
Biglink AI is using customer data and individual agent patterns to build AI chatbots that tailor sales pitches in the insurance industry. The Seoul-based startup targets a sector where over 600,000 agents still rely heavily on face-to-face meetings, often without consistent training or standardized approaches.
CEO Kim Si-young said the company's system generates customer personas, identifies coverage gaps, and learns from how individual agents communicate. Before meeting clients, agents receive insights into their interests and suggested talking points.
How the System Works
The chatbot analyzes news and social media trends to develop conversation scenarios tailored to different age groups. It organizes insurance product data across multiple insurers, flagging which coverage options might suit specific customers.
Agents no longer manually identify suitable products and develop strategies. The AI handles that work, recommending options based on customer segment data and comparing coverage across insurers.
"With the vast number of products offered by different insurers, it is difficult for agents to analyze everything," Kim said. "Our AI chatbot addresses this by enabling agents to easily explore coverage details across insurers and access tailored recommendations."
Avoiding AI Errors and Misrepresentation
Biglink AI does not use general foundation models like ChatGPT for its core insurance recommendations. Instead, it builds on its own database trained exclusively on verified sources: insurer internal data, sales materials, and content that passed regulatory review.
The company does not access personal customer data directly. It works with anonymized customer segments provided through APIs. This approach reduces the risk of AI hallucinations-when systems generate false or misleading information that sounds plausible.
Kim said the company adheres to clearly defined standards to prevent exaggeration or misrepresentation in marketing.
Biglink AI was selected as a new tenant of Seoul Fintech Lab for the first half of 2025, signaling recognition in the fintech sector.
Beyond Insurance: Content Creation and Creator Support
The company operates two other products aimed at creators and brands. Biglink is a content creation platform, while Bigbird evaluates creator influence and connects them with advertisers.
Kim said both products are designed to preserve creators' unique voices rather than producing standardized AI outputs. The platform uses generative AI APIs but applies custom personalization to reflect individual style and consistency.
"While AI can streamline the production process, the key lies in ideas and engagement with audiences," Kim said.
The company is exploring an AI literacy program for elementary students that would use their writing data to support individual writing styles rather than flatten them into uniform outputs.
