Bobyard Updates Platform With Faster Takeoffs and Unified AI Tools
Bobyard, an AI platform for construction takeoffs and estimates, released version 2.0 today with faster workflows, consolidated AI capabilities, and features designed to reduce repetitive measurement work for estimators.
The centerpiece is Multi-Measure, which lets estimators draw once and instantly generate area, perimeter, volume, and related quantities in a single pass. The update also keeps quantities connected to pricing from the start, eliminating the need to rebuild or re-export data before finalizing a bid.
All AI tools now sit in a unified AI Workbench. A new Review Workflow surfaces confidence levels for every AI-generated output, giving estimators control over quality before committing results.
Michael Ding, founder and CEO of Bobyard, said the update addresses what customers asked for. "Every change we made was driven by what our customers told us they needed to move faster, stay in control, and spend less time doing work that software should be doing for them," he said.
Initial rollout and expansion
Bobyard 2.0 launches today for landscaping contractors. The company plans to expand to additional construction trades later this month.
The release comes after Bobyard raised $35 million in Series A funding in December 2025, led by 8VC. That capital was earmarked for product development and expansion into new trades.
What contractors report
Bobyard's platform currently automates up to 70% of the quantity and material takeoff process. Contractors using the platform report a 65% average reduction in takeoff times and submit 3-5 times more bids per estimator, with more consistent and accurate results.
Marty Grunder, founder of The Grow Group and Grunder Landscaping, said the update cuts takeoff time in half on real jobs. "Everything just clicks now. The AI tools are on another level," he said. "If you're trying to level up your estimating this season, there's nothing else like this on the market."
