Cadastral Raises $9.5M to Build Vertical AI for Commercial Real Estate

Cadastral has secured $9.5 million from Navitas, JLL Spark Global Ventures, AvalonBay, Equity Residential, and 1Sharpe. The company is building an "AI analyst in a box" for real estate, private equity, and private credit - with funding earmarked for product acceleration and go-to-market.

Launched in late 2025, the platform is already in use by 40+ organizations. The pitch is simple: automate the time-consuming work so teams can move faster with fewer manual handoffs.

Why this matters for real estate and construction

Most firms are evaluating AI right now. Cadastral's approach is vertical and practical - no custom training required, and customer data is never used to train models.

For teams that live inside leases, T-12s, and diligence rooms, the promise is less grunt work and tighter underwriting, without reworking your current stack.

What Cadastral does

Cadastral builds CRE-specific tools and agents focused on common workflows and decisions. Think speed, accuracy, and context on the documents and data you already manage.

  • T-12 analysis and anomaly detection
  • Lease abstraction and clause comparison
  • Loan compliance monitoring
  • Acquisitions due diligence
  • End-to-end underwriting

Use cases span acquisitions, asset management, lease administration, occupier services, legal, lending, and capital markets. It integrates with SharePoint, Box, Dropbox, and core platforms like Yardi.

Who's behind it

CEO Abhinav "Abe" Somani previously founded Leverton, acquired by MRI Software in 2019, and brings two decades of experience across real estate investing and enterprise software. "Harvey, Hebbia, Rogo, and others have built transformative AI platforms for their respective industries - real estate shouldn't be left behind," said Somani. "We're bringing institutional-grade AI agents to every real estate professional."

CTO Aman Dhesi built large-scale AI systems at Meta, DoorDash, and Square. "We've democratized advanced AI capabilities for everyone in the industry - from small owner-operators to large publicly traded REITs," said Dhesi. "Cadastral delivers real value within seconds of logging in."

Investor view

"Every real estate organization is considering its AI strategy at the moment, so the time is now," said Jenny Song, Partner at Navitas Capital. "Our strong thesis is that vertical AI with true domain understanding is needed to capture value and win in the market."

"We're really excited about what Cadastral is building and how quickly it has already scaled across a number of JLL use cases," added Raj Singh, Managing Partner of JLL Spark Global Ventures. "The speed at which teams can get value from the product is extremely compelling."

Why adoption is happening

  • Out-of-the-box: No customer-specific training needed to see value
  • Data posture: Customer data is never used to train any models
  • Familiar stack: Works with existing document systems and CRE platforms
  • Time to value: Useful outputs in minutes, not quarters

What it means for your team

  • Start with one workflow (T-12 or lease abstraction) and measure time saved versus your current baseline
  • Connect your DMS (SharePoint, Box, or Dropbox) and push a single asset's materials through end-to-end
  • Validate outputs with your internal review checklist, then scale to a second use case
  • Set simple guardrails: data access, approval steps, and audit logs
