CapitaLand Investment Wins Two Awards at Real Estate Asia Awards 2025

CapitaLand Investment has secured two prestigious awards at the Real Estate Asia Awards 2025 for innovative retail projects that enhance shopper engagement and physical retail transactions. These projects incorporate AI and metaverse technology to improve customer experience and retail entertainment.

Digital Initiative of the Year – Singapore: CapitaVerse Virtual Mall

In partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), CapitaLand Investment introduced CapitaVerse, a gamified virtual retail mall integrated into the Singapore Wanderland game on Roblox. This initiative targets online gaming enthusiasts, metaverse users, and next-generation shoppers and tourists.

Unlike previous one-day events in 2022 and 2023, the 2024 CapitaVerse was open from April 8 to October 31. Its launch party attracted over 40,000 unique players within the first 24 hours—a 20-fold increase from the previous year.

Within just six hours, 40,000 limited edition virtual wearables inspired by brand partners' products were fully redeemed. These included digital items modeled after the Barehands Wayuu Clutch, GINLEE pleated dress, PUMA Palermo shoes, and National Gallery Singapore self-portraits.

  • The campaign generated nearly $2.2 million in PR value.
  • There were over 170 media mentions.
  • Social media metrics included 29.2 million impressions, 27.2 million reach, 1.2 million video views, and 630,000 engagements.
  • Over the entire campaign, CapitaVerse attracted more than 312,000 unique players across Southeast Asia, including Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, and Vietnam.
  • Gameplay sessions exceeded 462,000, with 138,000 attendance badges claimed, granting players real-world privileges redeemable at CapitaLand malls.

Customer Service Innovation of the Year – Singapore: Upgraded Casey AI Chatbot

CapitaLand also earned recognition for the upgraded version of its Casey AI chatbot, integrated into mall websites to provide 24/7 customer service. The new Casey 2.0 is enhanced with machine learning and natural language processing through ChatGPT integration.

This upgrade enables Casey to understand human language and emotions more effectively, delivering personalized and context-aware assistance. It uses deep learning and predictive analytics to provide human-like responses, reducing dependency on live agents and lowering operational costs.

Since its launch, Casey has successfully redirected over 40% of call and email inquiries to self-service channels, generating approximately 17% in cost savings for CapitaLand.
