Cityscape Global 2025: AI and PropTech Transforming Real Estate and Construction

Cityscape Global 2025 is set to focus on artificial intelligence (AI) and PropTech, highlighting their growing influence on real estate, construction, and urban living. Taking place this November, the event will explore how these technologies are driving innovation in the built environment and supporting large-scale projects aligned with Vision 2030.

The global PropTech market, currently valued at US$36.55 billion in 2024, is expected to more than double to US$88.37 billion by 2032. AI, recognized as the leading technology trend in real estate and construction this year, is applied across design, construction, sales, and asset management. With about 75% of top US brokerages already using AI to improve operations and client engagement, Cityscape Global offers a platform for industry leaders to assess the real commercial value of these technologies.

AI & PropTech Take Centre Stage

AI’s influence spans every stage of the real estate value chain and will be a major theme during the PropTech and AI Day at the Future of Living Summit, Cityscape Global’s main stage. The program will highlight AI applications across sectors, showcase emerging technologies reshaping urban environments, and present market insights from leading PropTech and construction technology investors.

Key speakers include:

  • H.E. Dr. Margarete Schramboeck, former Austrian Minister of Economy and Digital Affairs, Board Member at Aramco Digital
  • Dr. Prof. Derek Woodgate, President of The Futures Lab and Head of the UNESCO Committee at the World Futures Studies Federation
  • Darren Bechtel, Founder and Managing Director of Brick and Mortar Ventures, a leading venture capital firm focused on construction technology
  • Julia Arlt, Former Head of Digital Real Estate at PWC Global and recognized PropTech leader
  • John Helm, Founder and Partner of RET Ventures, a VC firm backed by a large network of residential operators
  • Will O'Donnell, Managing Director of Prologis Ventures, the investment arm of the world’s largest logistics real estate owner

A Dedicated Space for Innovation

Modern urban developments demand new approaches due to their scale and complexity. AI and emerging technologies are essential for meeting these challenges. Tools like digital twins and smart infrastructure help planners model and optimize cities before construction begins. Automation and advanced construction tech speed up delivery timelines, while AI-driven analytics improve real estate investment decisions.

To support this, Cityscape Global will introduce a new AI & PropTech exhibition zone. It will connect global developers, architects, and investors with technology providers such as Creative Fusion LLC, Property Automate, Trustangle, and Resimo. These companies will present platforms that improve property development, management, and investment processes.

Innovation Challenge Now Open

The Cityscape Global Innovation Challenge is accepting entries for 2025. This competition invites startups and scaleups to present innovative solutions for real estate, construction, and urban living. Past winners have leveraged this platform to grow their presence and partnerships in the region.

  • PlanRadar expanded across the GCC after winning in 2024, gaining new partnerships and market credibility. Dr. Vitaly Berezka, Regional Head for Central Asia, MENA & APAC, noted the award boosted their visibility and reputation in construction and facility management.
  • Hydraloop gained strategic partnerships and regulatory support for its decentralized water recycling solutions. Alexander Euler, Managing Director for Middle East and South Asia, highlighted key initiatives and partnerships secured post-win.
  • Valocity credits the challenge for accelerating its entry into the MENA market, including expanding partnerships in Saudi Arabia. Founder and CEO Carmen Vicelich described the win as a defining moment.

The challenge is sponsored by RETAL, a Saudi real estate developer providing a US$100,000 prize fund for Proof of Concept (POCs) for two winners. Additional benefits include speaking slots and complimentary exhibition stands. Abdullah AlBraikan, RETAL’s CEO, emphasized the company’s commitment to driving change through technology by supporting the challenge.

Shaping Smarter Cities: The AI Prompt-a-thon

Cityscape Global 2025 will also feature the AI Prompt-a-thon, a hands-on competition testing participants’ ability to create effective AI prompts for real estate applications. This event aims to improve skills in prompt engineering, helping participants generate faster insights and smarter designs for investment, development, and operations.

Rachel Sturgess, Senior Vice President at Tahaluf, the event’s organiser, stated, "Cityscape Global 2025 will spotlight the practical impact of AI and PropTech on the built environment. These technologies are already altering how urban spaces are designed, constructed, and experienced."

For those interested in enhancing their AI skills relevant to real estate and construction, exploring prompt engineering courses and AI training can be a valuable step.
