CODIT Debuts Next-Gen AI Policy Agent at Asia's Flagship Legal Tech Conference

CODIT introduced the beta of Chat CODIT, an interactive, generative AI service for regulatory and policy monitoring, at TechLaw Fest 2025 in Singapore (September 10-11). The platform helps legal teams track Korea's policy agenda and National Assembly activity, with growing support for cross-border matters.

Official launch is scheduled for later this month.

Why it matters for legal teams

  • Consolidate monitoring of bills, regulations, and policy signals across Korea and the United States-Japan and other markets are next.
  • Use background profiles to set matter context in advance, so responses reflect industry, risk appetite, and jurisdictions.
  • Leverage multilingual translation to brief stakeholders across offices without manual rework.
  • Cut time spent on first-pass research and issue spotting; redirect hours to strategy, counsel, and negotiation.

What Chat CODIT Beta does

  • Combines CODIT's proprietary regulatory and policy dataset with its patented LLM-based analysis.
  • Delivers interactive Q&A for legislative updates, policy positions, and timelines.
  • Offers global data coverage spanning Korea and the United States today, with additional countries-including Japan-in preparation.
  • Includes built-in translation to support cross-border teams and client communications.

On stage at TechLaw Fest 2025

Co-hosted by Singapore's Ministry of Law and the Singapore Academy of Law, TechLaw Fest marked its 10th year under the theme "Reimagining Legal in the Digital Age," drawing about 2,000 participants from 40+ countries. CODIT presented case studies on how AI can improve regulatory response and engaged attendees at its exhibition booth.

Policy briefing in Singapore

CODIT hosted its first dedicated policy briefing for multinational companies, outlining Korea's new government agenda and priorities in the National Assembly. Given strong interest, the company plans regular sessions in Singapore to keep global businesses current on Korea's policy and regulatory shifts.

Leadership perspective

"TechLaw Fest 2025 gave CODIT the opportunity to demonstrate the global competitiveness of AI built for regulation and policy, and to extend our reach beyond Korea to the international stage," said Ji Eun Chung, CEO of CODIT. "Our ambition is to make CODIT a trusted global partner in AI-powered policy intelligence, supporting innovation and compliance across markets with varying regulatory environments."

What to watch next

  • General availability of Chat CODIT later this month.
  • Expansion of data coverage beyond Korea and the United States.
  • Ongoing Singapore briefings for corporate legal and compliance teams.

Practical next steps for in-house and law firm teams

  • List high-impact use cases: bill tracking, early warning on committee activity, bilingual briefings, client alerts.
  • Define standard background profiles per matter type (industry, exposure, jurisdictions) to drive consistent outputs.
  • Pilot with one portfolio-e.g., privacy or fintech-and measure time saved from intake to client-ready update.
