Coupa and AWS Partner to Automate Spend Management with AI Agents
Coupa signed a five-year strategic collaboration agreement with Amazon Web Services to build AI-driven tools for procurement and supply chain operations. The partnership combines Coupa's spend data network with AWS artificial intelligence capabilities to automate purchasing workflows and improve supply chain visibility.
Coupa will build autonomous agents on Amazon Bedrock, AWS's foundation model service, to handle procurement tasks across the entire spend lifecycle-from sourcing through payment to supply chain execution. These agents, called Coupa Navi, will run on AWS infrastructure.
Scale of the Network
Coupa operates a business trade network that processed $9.5 trillion in transactions last year from more than 10 million buyers and suppliers. The company says customers have realized $300 billion in cumulative spend savings using its platform.
Greg Harbor, chief partner officer at Coupa, said the collaboration accelerates "autonomous spend management" for global enterprises. "With Coupa's leading AI-driven platform and $9.5T in proprietary data on AWS, we are driving faster transformation and measurable business outcomes for global enterprises," he said.
What Customers Report
Uber's senior director of finance, Mark Arrigotti, said Coupa improved visibility into external spending and streamlined financial operations. "We now have much greater visibility, streamlined operations, and have optimized our financial close process," he said.
