Coze Space Unveils All-in-One AI Office Suite That Delivers Where Other Agents Fall Short

Kouzi Space has quietly completed the development of an AI-powered office platform that challenges traditional office suites. If you follow AI trends, “Agent” will be one of the most common keywords in 2025. AI Agents have surged in popularity, offering capabilities ranging from code writing and image generation to booking flights and scheduling. But many general-purpose AI Agents often lack depth in any specific area, while vertical Agents sometimes struggle with rigid instructions and require multiple interaction rounds to refine outputs—especially frustrating for beginners.

ByteDance’s Kouzi Space offers a fresh approach. On September 3rd, Kouzi Space released a major update including AI Excel and other powerful features. Launched in April 2024 as a general intelligent agent platform, Kouzi Space quickly gained traction, with access codes becoming scarce during internal testing. Since then, the platform has seen frequent updates. The latest additions include AI Excel and an internal test of the Doubao Image Creation Model Seedream 4.0, which brings enhanced multi-image fusion and image modification capabilities.

Following these updates, Kouzi Space’s positioning has become clearer: it aims to be a one-stop AI office space, potentially replacing traditional office tools like Microsoft Office. Targeting nearly all consumer users with learning and work needs, Kouzi Space currently supports AI writing, AI PPT creation, AI design, AI Excel, AI web pages, and AI podcasts.

Since its 2024 launch, Kouzi Space has evolved from a consumer-focused intelligent agent ecosystem into a richer AI infrastructure that connects users, developers, and enterprises. While 2024 marked the first year of Agents, 2025 is when implementation begins to mature. The initial surge in popularity opened the market, but widespread usability remains a challenge. Kouzi Space is tackling this “last mile” problem by building not just a collection of tools but a connected ecosystem.

In July, Kouzi also open-sourced two products—Coze Studio and Coze Loop—on GitHub, providing developers with AI tool platforms. While Kouzi Space focuses on making AI usable for everyday users, these platforms empower developers to create and customize AI tools.

How Kouzi Space Trains a Reliable AI Intern from Average to Skilled

After the recent update, Kouzi Space was tested in several real-world scenarios, demonstrating distinct strengths.

Task 1: Generate a Usable PPT with One Click

Creating presentations is a baseline feature for AI platforms, but quality varies widely. Many AI PPTs feel like a “50-point intern”—helpful but superficial, often with formatting issues. Kouzi Space stands out by delivering consistent, reliable output that reduces rework.

For example, when asked to create a PPT based on the article “Young People Who Quit Their Jobs Suddenly Are Turning Nepal into the New Dali,” Kouzi Space generated an outline and confirmed it with the user before proceeding. It performs web searches to enrich content with high-quality sources like authoritative media and official websites. Then it finds matching images, carefully aligning pictures with text to avoid inconsistencies common in other AI PPTs.

The platform adapts its design style subtly based on the topic, producing unique charts and layouts rather than generic templates. The initial PPT is well-structured and clean, reducing the need for manual adjustments. Kouzi Space also supports extensive edits, including inserting images and text, adding pages, changing backgrounds, and adjusting layout elements like scaling and positioning.

Importantly, it can organize scattered data from files such as Word, PDFs, and web links with one click, streamlining the entire presentation creation process.

Task 2: Generate and Modify Illustrations with One Click

Illustrations play a key role in tech media articles but take time to create. Kouzi Space was tasked with generating a comic storyboard-style image divided into six irregular areas, each depicting different work scenarios like writing, data analysis, drawing, presenting PPTs, coding, and podcast recording.

Without stopping for confirmation, Kouzi Space delivered an image that matched style and atmosphere requirements, ready for use as a cover image. The platform's image modification capabilities, powered by Seedream 4.0, enable stable, word-driven edits. In one test, Kouzi Space replaced a girl with a boy in a poster while maintaining text consistency and visual elements such as facial expressions, QR codes, and layout intact.

Previously, such modifications required complex layer separation and redesign by human designers. Now, they can be accomplished with a simple command.

Task 3: Write a Long Article with One Click

Writing timely, in-depth articles is essential for editors. Using recent news of Atlassian’s $610 million acquisition of The Browser Company, Kouzi Space was asked to produce a comprehensive review of Atlassian’s growth.

The platform prioritizes accuracy by sourcing information from authoritative media and industry reports. It generates an outline for user review before writing the full article. All sources are traceable and verifiable, ensuring content credibility.

Kouzi Space’s approach balances autonomy with user control, making it a practical AI assistant for complex tasks.
