  • Choose vendors like you choose implants: Demand security attestations, healthcare data certifications, uptime SLAs, model/version transparency and an audit log you can actually use.
  • Train the team: 60-90 minutes on prompts, verification, and privacy basics. Make "trust but verify" a muscle memory.
  • Measure the gain: Track admin minutes saved, turnaround time for forms, note quality scores, clinician well-being and access metrics (e.g., added appointments/week).
  • Include equity and environment: Add bias checks and sustainability questions to your procurement and quarterly reviews.
