Dataminr Launches Unified Cyber Defense Suite Built on Agentic AI

Dataminr released Dataminr for Cyber Defense on March 23, a suite of threat management tools that combine real-time external intelligence with internal security data to automate threat detection and response. The product line represents the first major release following Dataminr's acquisition of ThreatConnect.

The system uses AI agents to automate threat detection and response workflows, reducing investigation time from hours to seconds. Dataminr said 67% of customers using the platform cut their mean time to respond by more than half.

Three Products for Different Security Maturity Levels

Client-Tailored Threat Intelligence filters external threat signals against an organization's internal systems and telemetry. The tool surfaces only threats relevant to the specific business, reducing noise analysts must process.

Agentic TI Ops consolidates threat intelligence from multiple sources into a single platform. AI agents handle investigation, enrichment, and prioritization tasks while analysts retain control over final decisions.

Predictive Threat Exposure Management continuously monitors security control effectiveness and correlates it with real-time threats and asset exposure. It quantifies risk in financial terms rather than relying on vulnerability scores alone, giving security leaders business-focused prioritization data.

How It Works

The platform ingests data from more than one million public sources and uses Dataminr's proprietary large language models to detect emerging threats. When a threat is identified, the system automatically correlates it with an organization's internal security posture and business exposure.

Dataminr said 97% of customers reported improved effectiveness in existing security tools like SIEMs, SOARs, and endpoint detection systems after deploying the platform.

The company operates a 12-year archive of threat data and uses multiple AI techniques including multi-modal fusion AI, which processes text in 150 languages, images, video, audio, and sensor data simultaneously.

Business Impact

Security leaders can now prioritize threats based on measured business and financial impact rather than alert volume. This shift addresses a core management challenge: the inability to distinguish critical threats from noise in fragmented security stacks.

Dataminr cited data showing that undetected breaches cost an additional $2.2 million in expected losses for every 10 days of exposure. Speed of detection directly affects financial impact.

Ted Bailey, CEO and founder of Dataminr, said the old model of static threat intelligence feeds no longer works. "If you aren't linking the real-time threat directly to your specific posture and real-time financial impact, you are operating blindly," Bailey said.

Management Implications

For security leaders, the platform addresses two operational problems: the inability to correlate external threats with internal exposure, and the difficulty of communicating risk to executive leadership in financial terms.

The suite integrates with existing security tools rather than requiring a complete stack replacement, allowing organizations to adopt the solutions incrementally as security maturity increases.

Dataminr will demonstrate the platform at the RSA Conference 2026 in San Francisco.
