DocMorris and Google Build AI Health Platform for Europe
DocMorris, a Swiss online pharmacy with 11 million active customers, is partnering with Google to develop an AI-powered digital health platform across Europe. The collaboration combines DocMorris's healthcare and pharmaceutical operations with Google's cloud infrastructure and AI models.
The partnership centers on patient-facing services powered by Google's Gemini AI models. DocMorris plans to launch a personalized health companion that guides patients from symptom assessment through e-prescription fulfillment. The platform will also integrate YouTube and Google's Health Connect to support patients digitally.
On the pharmacy side, DocMorris will use conversational AI to offer personalized shopping experiences. The company will migrate its entire IT infrastructure to Google Cloud, with sensitive health data processed in European data centers to meet regional security and privacy standards.
Internal Operations
DocMorris is also implementing Google Workspace with Gemini and agentic AI to streamline internal processes. The company employs roughly 1,600 people and generated 1,186 million Swiss francs in external revenue during 2025.
Walter Hess, CEO of DocMorris, said the transformation prioritizes patient experience. "By leveraging Google's world-class AI infrastructure and security standards, we are empowering individuals with direct, secure access to their own health journey through a personalised and intuitive experience," he said.
