DXC Launches AI Workflow Apps for P&C Insurers
DXC Technology introduced a suite of modular AI applications designed to reduce manual work in claims, underwriting and customer engagement. The company unveiled the Assure Smart Apps at its DXC Connect Insurance Executive Forum on April 10, with implementation timelines of 12 weeks or less.
The three core applications address specific operational bottlenecks. The Claims Assistant handles end-to-end claims management. The Underwriter Assistant automates submission intake and prioritization. The Engagement Assistant coordinates customer interactions across digital and voice channels.
Operational Impact
DXC projects the applications will reduce manual processes by 30 to 40 percent and shorten cycle times by roughly 30 percent. The company positioned the tools as a way for insurers to modernize incrementally without replacing existing core systems.
Ray August, President of Insurance Software and Business Process Services at DXC, said the applications were built to "meet customers where they are and create a pathway for incremental transformation."
ServiceNow Partnership
DXC built the applications using ServiceNow's agentic AI and workflow technology. Michael Park, SVP of Global Partnerships and Channels at ServiceNow, said the partnership combines "ServiceNow's agentic AI and workflow technology and DXC's deep insurance industry expertise."
For insurance professionals evaluating AI for insurance operations, these applications represent a practical approach to AI agents and automation that doesn't require ripping out legacy systems.
