Dynatrace joins GitHub MCP Registry to speed up AI-driven developer workflows

Dynatrace (NYSE: DT) is now part of the GitHub Model Context Protocol (MCP) Registry, a curated directory that helps teams discover and connect AI-ready services inside their existing tools. This move strengthens Dynatrace's partnership with GitHub and brings real-time observability and automation directly into developer workflows-without breaking context.

With the MCP integration, developers can access live insights on performance, security, and reliability where they work. The goal: cut feedback loops, spot issues earlier, and ship with confidence.

Why this matters

The Model Context Protocol standardizes how tools and AI systems connect. By participating in GitHub's MCP Registry, Dynatrace makes its AI-powered observability available as a service developers can easily integrate, so context flows from code to runtime and back again.

What developers can expect

  • Real-time telemetry in the developer workflow: surface performance, error, and security data without leaving your IDE or GitHub-centric tooling.
  • Intelligent automation: reduce toil with AI-assisted detection, prioritization, and remediation hints tied to code and deployments.
  • Faster issue resolution: correlate code changes with runtime impact to fix the right problem first.
  • Higher reliability: continuous, AI-driven insights that help teams prevent regressions and harden services.

"Developers need more than speed - they need visibility, automation, and trust," said Andreas Grabner, CNCF Ambassador and Fellow of Technology Strategy at Dynatrace. "Our integration with GitHub and participation in the MCP Registry brings observability directly into the developer workflow. With Dynatrace, developers will have access to relevant insights within their integrated development environments, allowing them to detect issues earlier, resolve them faster, and innovate with confidence."

"The GitHub MCP Registry is designed to help developers and integrate trusted partner solutions that accelerate innovation," said Simina Pasat, VP of Product at GitHub. "The AI-powered observability platform from Dynatrace brings deep insights and automation into the developer workflow, enabling teams to build smarter, more resilient software."

How teams can use this now

  • Connect Dynatrace via MCP so AI features and copilots can pull relevant telemetry on demand.
  • Use runtime insights to inform code reviews, PR checks, and incident retros.
  • Feed deployment context into observability to tighten the loop between change and impact.
