Envirotech Vehicles Builds 500 MW Infrastructure Platform for AI Data Centers
Envirotech Vehicles announced it has expanded its controlled land to more than 548 acres and established infrastructure designed to support up to 500 megawatts of power capacity. The company currently operates approximately 6 MW of digital infrastructure, with additional phases underway.
The buildout addresses a core constraint in AI deployment: access to reliable electricity. Data center operators face severe power limitations as demand for computing resources accelerates. A 500 MW capacity is sufficient to power roughly 375,000 homes and matches the energy requirements of major technology companies' large-scale AI campuses.
Envirotech is executing a Merger and Development Agreement with AZIO AI. The partnership combines land control, energy resources, fiber connectivity, and infrastructure planning to serve AI, cloud computing, and high-performance computing markets.
Infrastructure Milestones
- 548+ acres under development control via leases and site agreements
- 500 MW planned behind-the-meter power capacity
- 6 MW of digital infrastructure currently deployed
- Dedicated fiber infrastructure secured for current and future operations
- Natural gas interconnection requests advancing through engineering review
Elgin Tracy, president of Envirotech Vehicles, said the company has focused on execution since announcing the AZIO AI agreement. "AI does not run without power, land, and connectivity, and those are the assets we are securing," Tracy said.
Chris Young, CEO of AZIO AI, said the organizations have continued collaborating on development initiatives. "The combination of controlled acreage, scalable energy resources, dedicated fiber connectivity, and long-term infrastructure planning provides a strong foundation for the demand opportunity we see ahead," Young said.
The proposed transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions.
