ESCP Business School and Hugging Face Partner to Advance AI in Management Education

ESCP Business School has entered a strategic partnership with Hugging Face, a leading open-source AI platform co-founded by ESCP alumnus Clément Delangue. This collaboration strengthens ESCP’s commitment to embedding artificial intelligence across its education, research, and operational activities.

Building upon initiatives such as the OpenAI collaboration for ChatGPT Edu access and training over 1,000 “AI Champions” among students, faculty, and staff, ESCP continues to raise standards in business education. Now, the entire ESCP community—comprising more than 11,000 students and 1,000 professors and staff—will have free access to Hugging Face’s advanced AI models and platform. This opens up practical learning, research, and entrepreneurial opportunities across ESCP’s six European campuses.

Hands-On AI Access for the ESCP Community

Through this partnership, students and faculty can:

  • Engage with advanced AI models: Work with large language models, vision, and multi-modal AI systems for class projects, assignments, and applied research.
  • Build and certify skills: Publish projects on a global platform, contribute to open-source AI, and strengthen resumes with verifiable technical expertise.
  • Enhance entrepreneurship: Leverage Hugging Face tools to prototype and integrate AI into startups and entrepreneurial ventures without incurring high infrastructure costs.

Faculty members will also benefit through access to the platform for creating interactive teaching materials and research applications. They will receive specialized training in September 2025, followed by student onboarding in October, ensuring smooth adoption across ESCP’s campuses.

AIM: ESCP’s Next Step in AI Integration

Prof. Léon Laulusa, Executive President and Dean of ESCP Business School, highlights that this partnership goes beyond learning. “Our approach reflects the belief that AI is a new language for management and innovation,” he says. ESCP aims to become a living lab for Generative AI in management education and is developing AIM—ESCP Intelligent Assistant Multirole—a platform to transform personalized learning, research, and administration while supporting an entrepreneurial AI ecosystem.

Alumnus Clément Delangue’s Vision

Clément Delangue, co-founder and CEO of Hugging Face and an ESCP alumnus, expresses enthusiasm about giving back to his alma mater. “Starting my entrepreneurial journey at ESCP 15 years ago, I’m excited to support the next generation of builders across ESCP’s campuses,” he says. Delangue emphasizes that students, professors, and staff will gain free access to open-source AI tools, allowing them to actively build AI solutions.

Responsible AI Use and Ethical Commitment

Francesco Rattalino, ESCP’s Executive Vice-President of Academic Affairs and Student Experience, notes the importance of responsible AI use. The school promotes the view that technology’s impact depends on how it’s applied. Prof. Louis-David Benyayer, AI Initiatives Coordinator, adds that Hugging Face’s dedication to open-source development and ethical AI aligns well with ESCP’s values, benefiting the school's academic and entrepreneurial ecosystem.

For managers interested in exploring practical AI applications and certifications, resources such as Complete AI Training certifications offer valuable courses that complement initiatives like ESCP’s AI programs.
