EVS adds AI features for faster creative workflows across production tools
EVS announced AI-driven upgrades to its production software at NAB 2026, embedding machine learning across its portfolio to speed up creative tasks. The updates include instant deblurring for fast-moving sports, automated player tracking, and cinematic effects that apply in under three seconds.
Cinematic effects and deblurring
The company's XtraMotion super slow motion tool now includes cinematic effects that work on live and archive content. Formula 1 is already using the feature in its F1 Explainer videos.
EVS also added one-touch deblurring to Xeebra, its officiating platform. Operators press a button to immediately sharpen images of fast-moving action. The deblurring was trained on millions of blurred images and EVS says it's the only product on the market with this capability.
Real-time tracking and reformatting
The LSM-VIA live replay system now uses AI object recognition to track players and reframe wide-angle 4K footage in real time. Operators highlight who or what to follow and set a zoom level, then the software automatically keeps the subject in frame while generating vertical formats for social media.
This eliminates the need for manual reframing when adapting content across platforms.
Unified robot control
EVS consolidated its robotics acquisitions-XD Motion and Telemetrics-under a new brand called T-Motion. The company also launched Choreon, a control platform that manages multiple robotic systems through a single interface.
Previously, operators switched between separate controls for each device. Choreon enables simultaneous operation of multiple robots in one workflow, allowing for new camera angles and complex movements in both indoor and outdoor setups.
For creatives working with AI video editing and generative video tools, these updates reduce the manual steps between capture and delivery.
