Expedia Launches AI-Powered Campaign in UK With 3D Creative Spots
Expedia has brought its global brand platform to the UK market with new AI-powered creative spots designed to show travellers how bundling flights and hotels together unlocks savings. The campaign, titled "The One Place You Go to Go Places," debuted in the US, Canada, and Mexico earlier this year before expanding to the UK.
Buck Design developed and produced the 3D-powered AI creative spots. The spots visualize the "Bundle It All" concept, demonstrating how travellers can book flights and hotels together or lock in flights now and add stays later.
How the Campaign Reaches Audiences
Expedia is leading with a digital-first strategy centred on YouTube, the platform where its "Going Places with Ken" spot - which featured Mattel's Ken character as a brand ambassador - generated over 300 million views.
The UK rollout will feature additional creative spots in coming months, including work supporting Expedia's partnership with Liverpool FC.
The Broader Strategy
Natalie Wills, SVP of brand marketing and creative at Expedia Group, said the campaign reinforces the company's position as a one-stop shop for planning, booking, and managing trips. "From the moment inspiration strikes to the time they return home, Expedia helps travellers bring everything together in one place," Wills said.
The campaign targets the friction point in travel planning - the complexity of booking across multiple platforms. By showing how bundled bookings save time and money, Expedia positions itself as the simpler alternative.
For creatives working on travel, retail, or direct-response campaigns, this work demonstrates how 3D-powered AI production can handle product visualization and bundle scenarios at scale. AI Design Courses and Generative Video Courses cover the technical foundations for this type of production work.
