EY India and Taxmann Launch AI-Powered Tax Research Platform
EY India and Taxmann have partnered to introduce Taxmann.AI, an AI-driven platform built specifically for tax and legal professionals. This tool combines EY’s tax technology expertise with Taxmann’s extensive tax and legal content library to deliver precise and actionable insights.
The platform supports research, document analysis, and response generation, relying on original, verifiable content from India’s largest tax and legal database maintained by Taxmann. EY’s deep experience in tax consulting and technology ensures the platform is reliable and easy to use, with features developed specifically for India’s tax environment.
Key Features of Taxmann.AI
- Ask Bot: Responds to natural language queries by providing structured answers linked to relevant sections, rules, circulars, case law, and expert commentaries.
- Complex Topic Research: Analyzes detailed legal documents and identifies similar precedents using advanced pattern recognition.
- Microsoft Word Integration: Seamlessly integrates with Word to support document drafting and review within familiar tools.
Looking ahead, the platform will include a Draft Bot designed to validate tax authority legal notices, flag potential issues, and draft comprehensive responses grounded in statutory provisions and case law.
Data Privacy and Security
Taxmann.AI prioritizes user confidentiality through a privacy-first approach, employing enterprise-grade encryption to protect data and generated content. This ensures sensitive information stays secure throughout the research and drafting process.

Rakesh Bhargava, Managing Director of Taxmann, highlighted the platform’s role in boosting efficiency and accuracy for tax professionals by combining Taxmann’s rich content expertise with EY’s AI technology.
