Construction CRM Startup Kaliun Raises $250K From Remodeling Contractor

Kaliun, an AI-powered construction management platform, announced a $250,000 investment led by Tomer Amar, CEO of TGA Kitchens & Remodeling, along with backing from private investors. The platform targets residential general contractors with an integrated system designed to replace spreadsheets, text messages, and disconnected software.

Amar, a Florida Certified Building Contractor, built Kaliun based on operational experience running a Tampa Bay remodeling company. The platform includes AI-powered proposal generation, project management dashboards, change order tracking, subcontractor bidding, expense management with receipt scanning, and integrated invoicing.

Why a Contractor Built This

Most construction CRMs on the market were designed by software companies without jobsite experience. Kaliun's modules reflect actual contractor workflows, including post-hurricane disaster recovery operations that Amar's company has managed.

The construction industry generates $3.2 trillion annually but still relies on manual processes. Residential contractors lose an estimated 30-35% of potential revenue to inefficient operations and poor project tracking, according to the company.

Enterprise platforms like Procore serve commercial general contractors with dedicated office staff. Smaller residential contractors typically operate from a truck with minimal systems.

AI Integration Across Workflows

Kaliun uses artificial intelligence to generate proposals based on historical project data and automatically categorize expenses from receipt scans. The company plans to add predictive project scheduling, automated client communication, and lead scoring powered by construction-specific data models.

The platform is available on web and mobile, with native iOS and Android applications in beta. Kaliun is currently onboarding early adopter contractors in Florida, with a phased national expansion planned for Q3 2026.

Product Roadmap

The company plans to launch a subcontractor marketplace connecting general contractors with vetted subcontractors and SMS-based communication tools with integrated messaging infrastructure.

Contractors can request early access at kaliun.com.
