SAIC's Six Principles for Deploying Sustainable, Mission-Ready AI in Government

The first wave of AI was about building smart models. The next wave is about building smarter systems that last. SAIC outlines six principles to help agencies move from pilots to dependable, large-scale capability that stands up to real missions.

1) Treat AI as Infrastructure

AI should be treated like core infrastructure, not a side project. That means aligning to mission outcomes, engineering for resilience and setting the foundation to scale across programs and environments. Build for repeatability, not one-offs.

2) Make It Modular
