Celonis Process Intelligence Helps Fujitsu Improve Inventory Management and Enable AI-Driven Transformation

Jan 16, 2026 - Tokyo, Munich, New York

Celonis announced that Fujitsu is using the Celonis Process Intelligence Platform to improve inventory decisions and scale AI across the enterprise. The immediate impact: lower stock levels, fewer unnecessary orders, and faster decision-making grounded in real process data.

What changed at Fujitsu

FSAS Technologies, a Fujitsu subsidiary, connected its supply chain systems to the Celonis Platform. The result is end-to-end transparency on inventory levels and AI-enhanced recommendations on when to buy, re-allocate, or pause purchases.

  • 20% reduction in excess inventory
  • 50% reduction in inventory orders in the first 6 months
  • Multi-million-dollar savings realized

"With Celonis, we've been able to cut costs by giving our teams the data and context needed to make faster, smarter decisions," said Kazushi Koga, Corporate Executive Officer, SEVP, Head of Platform at Fujitsu.

Why this matters for management

Many teams try to scale AI without first grounding it in how the business actually runs. As Celonis co-CEO Bastian Nominacher noted, models and agents alone don't see process reality. Process intelligence provides the operational context so AI can trigger the right actions, consistently, and at scale.

For leaders, this means better working capital control, fewer stockouts, and less firefighting. It also shifts decision-making from opinion to observable flow of orders, materials, and approvals-so teams focus on exceptions, not dashboards.

How to apply this in your organization

  • Connect core data first: ERP, procurement, and warehouse signals (orders, receipts, stock, lead times).
  • Define a small set of high-value calls: buy, re-allocate, or hold-and automate recommendations for each.
  • Add guardrails: approval thresholds, supplier constraints, and service-level priorities by segment.
  • Instrument the loop: alerts for exceptions and auto-execution for low-risk decisions.
  • Start with one business unit, review weekly, then expand once KPIs improve and behavior stabilizes.

Results beyond inventory

Fujitsu plans to expand process intelligence to additional processes. As a Celonis partner, Fujitsu is also helping its IT services customers adopt similar approaches to speed up transformation and capture measurable value.
