GE HealthCare Unveils Photon-Counting CT and Fleet Management Tools for Cardiology

GE HealthCare will showcase three major cardiology technologies at the American College of Cardiology conference in March 2026: a newly FDA-cleared photon-counting CT system, a remote fleet management solution, and a partnership to expand interventional imaging options.

The company's Photonova Spectra system uses photon-counting detection to measure individual X-ray photons and their energy levels. For cardiologists, this produces higher-definition images of coronary anatomy and plaque while reducing radiation dose. The system's AI capabilities help clinicians characterize tissue more precisely and make faster diagnostic decisions.

ReadyFix Brings Remote Device Management to ECG Workstations

GE HealthCare is introducing ReadyFix, a fleet management platform designed to work with MAC VU360 resting ECG workstations. The system provides real-time monitoring and remote diagnostics from a centralized dashboard, allowing health systems to identify and fix device issues before they disrupt patient care.

ReadyFix enables remote software deployment and configuration management, reducing downtime for ECG equipment. The solution launches in the U.S. for the first time at a major cardiology conference.

New Partnership Expands Catheterization Lab Imaging

GE HealthCare signed an agreement with Gentuity to give its customers access to the Gentuity HF-OCT and Vis-Rx PRIME Micro-Imaging Catheter. These tools support detailed visualization during complex coronary interventions and help clinicians plan percutaneous coronary intervention procedures more effectively.

The partnership builds on recent FDA clearances for GE HealthCare's Allia Moveo, an interventional imaging platform approved for a range of procedural guidance applications.

Why This Matters for Healthcare Providers

Cardiovascular disease kills one American every 34 seconds, according to the American Heart Association. Nearly half of U.S. adults have some form of heart disease, creating pressure on clinicians to detect conditions earlier and make treatment decisions faster.

These technologies address that pressure through better image quality, faster workflows, and remote monitoring. AI for Healthcare applications like these help clinicians work more efficiently without adding staff. AI Data Analysis capabilities in these systems enable more precise diagnosis and treatment planning.

GE HealthCare's focus is on connecting imaging quality, data intelligence, and workflow efficiency across the entire patient journey - from initial diagnosis through treatment and follow-up care.
