Genpact debuts agentic AI Policy Suite to accelerate submission-to-bind underwriting for commercial and specialty insurers
Genpact launches an agentic Policy Suite on Azure to speed pre-bind underwriting for commercial and specialty carriers. Targets: 90% touchless, 75% faster cycles, 50% lower costs.

Genpact launches agentic Insurance Policy Suite for commercial and specialty carriers
Genpact has introduced the Genpact Insurance Policy Suite for commercial and specialty business insurance. Part of its Service-as-Agentic-Solutions portfolio, the suite brings autonomous, AI-driven workflows to reduce administrative effort, compress cycle times, and surface data-backed insights across the pre-bind process.
The suite is built on Microsoft Azure AI Foundry models and Azure analytics services to orchestrate and execute underwriting support tasks. The goal: close the gap between initial submission and bind with greater consistency and control.
What's inside the suite
The Policy Suite consists of four modules, each using specialized AI agents to classify, extract, and summarize submission data. It strengthens touchless processing, flags anomalies before they become bottlenecks, and ranks risk to accelerate decisions and quote generation.
- Automated intake: classify and normalize submissions from varied sources and formats
- Data extraction and summarization: pull key fields, generate concise overviews for quick review
- Anomaly detection: identify missing, conflicting, or low-quality data early
- Risk ranking: prioritize submissions with clear signals for underwriting action
Results insurers can target (according to Genpact)
- Up to 90% touchless submission clearance
- Up to 75% reduction in manual cycle times
- Up to 50% lower costs and higher underwriting capacity
- Faster speed-to-market with more consistent pre-bind execution
Built for underwriters and broker relationships
"We designed the Genpact Insurance Policy Suite with underwriters in mind so they can focus on delivering faster quotes, building better broker relationships, and increasing submission-to-bind ratios," said Jinsook Han, Chief Strategy, Corporate Development & Global Agentic AI Officer at Genpact.
Han added that the solution includes observability, audit trails, and role-based controls to give carriers and underwriters clearer transparency and insights across complex documentation and workflows.
Microsoft collaboration
Genpact's launch extends its work with Microsoft's Azure AI stack. "By using Azure AI Foundry Agent Service with Genpact's insurance expertise and deep knowledge of the pre-bind process, the Genpact Insurance Policy Suite will help carriers securely accelerate cycle times, improve business performance, and enhance the experience of all stakeholders," said Hemanth Sundararaj, Global Financial Services Industry Solution Sales Leader at Microsoft.

How to put this to work now
- Identify target lines and geographies with heavy submission volume and long pre-bind cycles
- Map current intake, triage, and clearance workflows; define decision points and data gaps
- Pilot a single module (e.g., intake or anomaly detection) with clear SLAs and guardrails
- Baseline KPIs: touchless rate, time-to-quote, hit ratio, and cost per submission
- Integrate outputs with broker portals and underwriting workbenches for straight-through flow
